The Rules.
Must be a drag king act.
Meaning, you must identify and perform as a drag king for this show. You can be a singing drag king who balances fish bowls while humming the “Mighty Mouse” theme song, we don’t care. It just has to be a drag king act.
Watch Your Lyrics
In order to maintain our safe space for both the performers and the audience, if you are not Black/African American you can not perform to any song that contains the “n-word”. Even if your intent is to not perform the lyric itself, the answer is no. No exceptions.
No R. Kelly songs.
If you need an explanation, this may not be the space for you.
No sex toys on stage as props.
We are conscious that sometimes these can be triggering for audience members and ask that they are not used as visible props in acts.
